When ERMC Founder Emerson Russell’s daughter got married she couldn’t find a suitable location for her wedding reception, so he had a banquet hall built just for her! Now it’s known as the Renaissance Center and with expanded amenities and services the 200-seat facility does several weddings each month.
An outdoor pergola has been added to create a space for intimate ceremonies. Receptions at Renaissance Center may be reserved for catered sit-down dinners or casual poolside affairs. It has a full-service bar with a hand-carved facade, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, banquet tables, a complete sound system, a stage with a dance floor and a bank of French doors opening up the northeast wall to the lawn outside.

Area brides may customize their wedding plans with the help of John Nollinger, the new wedding sales manager at The Chattanoogan.
The resort offers wedding reception packages for as few as two persons having dinner in a private suite- up to an elegant 600-plate dinner in the grand ballroom.
Nollinger has 20 years of professional experience in the wedding industry, having worked in events and catering for companies like Villa Christina and the Wyndham Peachtree City in the Atlanta area.
“Attention to detail in the planning process sets The Chattanoogan apart, along with other exceptional amenities,” says Nollinger. He says the upscale hotel offers the ideal space for weddings of all sizes and budgets.
