The curtain rises on the BackStage Bash – Chattanooga’s annual theatrical throwdown – at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre Saturday, May 14. This is the third year for the fundraiser, which supports the work of the community theatre, now in its 92nd season.

The event – held at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre located next to Coolidge Park on the city’s NorthShore – offers guests unique backstage experiences through the facility’s 40,000 square feet of space. Many experiences are linked to upcoming shows at the CTC, including Camelot and Spamalot, this season’s final two productions, and three shows from next season: Fiddler on the Roof, A Midsummer Night’s Disco, and Love/Sick.

Guests will dine at food stations featuring unique offerings from Events with Taste and sip themed cocktails created especially for the event by mixologists from The Flying Squirrel. Then dance to the sounds of a Big Band in the Main Lobby, stop by the coffee bar for music, coffee, and dessert, or join in the fun at the piano lounge. A scavenger hunt leads guests who participate into unexplored sections of the CTC, then they can stop by the costume shop for dress-up and selfies. The fun, the food, and the entertainment can be found throughout the expanses of the theatre.

Bryan and Mindy Kelly and co-chairs of this year’s BackStage Bash. Tom and Kristina Montague are honorary co-chairs.

Tickets are $125/person and are available now by calling the box office at 423-267-8534 (Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or they may be purchased online at www.TheatreCentre.com.
