Young Woman Lifting Weights - IsolatedBlueCross BlueShield now offers a new challenge-based online community, “InSpire,” to encourage and motivate people to improve their overall wellbeing. “InSpire” connects members in a social network designed to offer positive reinforcement and rewards for progress. Members can access the “InSpire” community via the free smartphone app, which integrates with a number of fitness trackers including Apple Health Kit, Google Fit, Fitbit, Nike Fuel, Jawbone and others. “InSpire” runs off a point system, where members receive points each day for sharing news about their latest health efforts. The more active members are, the more points they receive, which can be given to different members. Depending on the plan, the points received from other members can be ‘cashed in’ for useful items such as water bottles and yoga mats. Members may also have access to expanded health resources and analytics, depending on the package chosen.
